The Noah Lyles race

In November 2024 Speed drove to a track in Orlando to race Noah Lyles over 50m for a $100,000 prize. Lyles crossed first. Speed argued it was a tie after reviewing phone footage, and Lyles suggested settling it with a 100m rematch. ESPN's report includes no times.

Speed later said he plans to run the 100m at the 2028 Olympics. To get there he would need a legal time in a sanctioned race, which would also be the first verifiable 100m time we could list here.

Why stream times don't count

Official sprint times need a gun start, electronic (fully automatic) timing and, for records, a legal wind reading. Hand timing and video timing can be off by tenths of a second, which at 100m is the difference between a good high-school runner and a fast one. That is why the converter on this page doesn't compare you with IShowSpeed.
